About / Andrea McGuire

Hi! I'm a journalist and radio producer working with CBC in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. I've also had work published by Hakai Magazine, Atlantic Business Magazine, the Newfoundland Quarterly, Eastern Edge Art Gallery and more.

I graduated from the 8-month journalism program at the University of King's College at the height of the pandemic. I also have an MA degree in Folklore from Memorial University.

I've made radio and written about language inventors, climate change, cybersecurity, chronic illness, and how to sew up a horse with buttons. I'm definitely a generalist. I'm hoping that's a good thing.
